Cuboid 5TX is a full range, two way, passive 5″ loudspeaker for distributed applications with high-quality background music and speech reproduction.
With its attractive design and included mounting hardware, Cuboid 5TX can be fixed in either portrait or landscape orientation for simple and flexible installation. A weatherproof terminal cover is available for outdoor use, bringing the rating to IP54.
Cuboid 5TX features a 5.25″ low frequency driver and a 0.75″ silk dome high frequency driver mated to a shallow wave guide for consistent HF distribution.
Each Cuboid 5TX can be run on a series of 70 or 100V taps or at low impedance. Tap selection is via a rotary switch on the rear of the cabinet.
For enhanced bass performance, Cuboid 5TX can be teamed with Sub 6 or Sub 10. A SmartAmp or powered Zone will provide amplification and loudspeaker protection via onboard presets. When coupled with Zone and WebApp, system set up and end user control is straightforward, and can be further supplemented by ZonePad wall controllers.

Cuboid 5TX is a two-way, passive 5″ loudspeaker for wall-mounted commercial audio installations. Its compact ABS cabinet, portrait/landscape mounting system and included wall bracket make it suited to distributed background music and speech applications in a wide range of venue types — bars, restaurants, retail, hotels, offices and education. The 5.25″ LF driver and 0.75″ silk dome HF driver LF driver delivers a maximum SPL of 105dB continuous and 111dB peak, with a 130° horizontal by 120° vertical coverage pattern for consistent dispersion. IP54 outdoor capability is available with the accessory weatherproof terminal cover.
The Cuboid range covers 3″, 5″ and 6.5″ ABS cabinet models — all sharing the same portrait/landscape mounting system and IP54 outdoor capability with the accessory terminal cover. Cuboid 5 uses a 5.25″ LF driver and 0.75″ silk dome HF driver and delivers 105dB continuous SPL — suited to medium-sized spaces where higher output is needed without stepping up to a larger cabinet. Cuboid 3TX (3.5″ LF, 98dB) is the most compact and discreet. Cuboid 5TX (5.25″ LF, 105dB) steps up in output for larger spaces. Cuboid 6TX (6.5″ LF, 108dB) is the highest-output ABS model. For larger installations requiring wooden cabinet construction and higher SPL, the Cuboid 8 through 15 range continues the series. Your installer will advise based on room size, throw distance and ambient noise level.
Cuboid 5TX is identical to the Cuboid 5 in every respect except one: the addition of a built-in 70V/100V transformer. Cuboid 5 operates at 8Ω low impedance only and requires a conventional low-impedance amplifier. Cuboid 5TX can be operated at 8Ω low impedance or connected to a 70V/100V constant voltage distributed system — tap selection is via a rotary switch on the rear of the cabinet. Transformer taps at 70V: 5, 7.5, 10 and 15W. Transformer taps at 100V: 10, 15, 20 and 30W. The TX variant is the right choice for larger distributed installations using constant voltage wiring, or for any installation where the 70V/100V standard is specified.
