The Custom Configurator is the new software companion to the SmartAmp series. It replaces the previous SmartAmp configuration tool with a single application that manages firmware updates and gives installers full per-output control over routing, speaker presets, impedance, EQ, crossover, delay and limiter — all from a laptop, via USB, on site.
For installers who want to keep working the way they always have, the existing DIP-switch workflow still works exactly as it did. Setting all DIPs to 0 unlocks the Custom Configuration tab, where every output becomes independently configurable. Custom mode is opt-in — there’s no requirement to use it.
Cross-platform from launch. Native macOS and Windows. No internet connection required for on-site work. Configuration files save and load between sites, so a venue’s settings travel with the installer.
Route anything anywhere
Every output has an independent source selector with seven options — any of the four physical inputs, summed Input 1+2 or Input 3+4 for sub or mono distribution, or None to mute the output entirely. Routing is independent of the speaker preset, the processing chain and the impedance setting. Pick any source, pair it with any preset, shape it with any processing, send it to any load.
Full DSP per output
Each output gets its own configurable processing chain. Speaker presets from the Optimal Audio and Martin Audio libraries, or build and save custom presets for third-party loudspeakers. Per-output impedance — 4W, 8W, 70V or 100V — no longer a global setting.
Three-band parametric EQ with graphical curve editing. Two-point crossover with Linkwitz-Riley or Butterworth filters. Up to 60ms delay per output, for time-aligning sub and satellite combinations.
Save once, deploy everywhere
Save the full amplifier configuration as a file. Load it back to the same amp, or push it to another. Standardise a venue’s settings across multiple sites.
